Bluetile Type-1 a high quality adhesive for the permanent fixing of ceramic tiles for vertical and horizontal applications. It is also suitable for use in damp and totally submerged conditions, e.g. swimming pools. It can also be used for fixing of insulating and acoustic boards made of expanded polystyrene, etc. Bluetile Type-1 tile adhesive is more suitable for internal applications.

All surfaces must be sound and thoroughly clean before Bluetile Type-1 is applied. All traces of greases or oil must be removed with suitable degreaser. All loose particles of mortar, dolwallpaper, print etc., must be physically removed.
Bluetile Type-1 tile adhesive should be mixed with water in the ratio of 3:1. Water can be reduced or increased slightly to achieve required consistency. A slow speed drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle is recommended. Hand mixing may also be resorted to if small quantities are mixed. (Note:Use of chilled water in extreme temperatures will increase open time of Bluetile Type-1 tile adhesive).
Bluetile Type-1 tile adhesive is spread on the substrate to a uniform thickness of 2 - 3 mm. This is then combed horizontally with a notch trowel. The tiles are then placed firmly into the adhesive bed ensuring good contact with the mortar by a twisting motion. Choose work areas so that they can be tiled in adhesive's open wet time of approx. 20 mins at 350C.
Bluetile Type-1 tile adhesive is supplied in 20 kg bag. tile adhesive must be stored in a cool dry place. 6 months in unopened bags under normal warehouse conditions.
